Frequently Asked Questions

Playing
Are DiceGem games free?
Yes. Every game is free to play in your browser, with no download, sign-up or payment.
Do I need an account?
No. There are no player accounts. Your progress, settings and virtual credits are saved in your browser’s local storage on your device. If you clear your browser data or switch devices, that progress starts fresh.
Which devices are supported?
Any current version of Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox on desktop, tablet or phone. Games adapt to portrait and landscape screens.
A game does not load or behaves strangely. What should I do?
Reload the page first. If the problem stays, email [email protected] with the game name, your device and browser, and what you saw. A screenshot helps.
Casino-style games and credits
Can I win real money?
No. DiceGem does not offer real-money gambling. Casino-style games use virtual credits that have no monetary value.
Can I buy credits?
No. Credits cannot be bought, sold, cashed out or exchanged for money, prizes or anything else of value. If you run out, the game gives you a fresh balance.
Who are the casino games for?
Adults. Casino-style games are intended for players aged 18 or over. Read our responsible play page for why, and for help if gambling is a problem for you or someone you know.
Fairness
Are the shuffles and dice rolls random?
Yes. Each new game is seeded from your browser’s cryptographic random generator, and every shuffle, roll and spin then comes from a seeded pseudo-random generator inside the game rules. The display never decides outcomes. Details: How we make games.
Does the game get harder if I keep winning?
No. Nothing in the rules looks at your balance, your win streak or your history. The odds of every bet are fixed by the rules and are the same for every player on every hand.
Are the payouts the same as in a real casino?
Each game states the variant it plays. Payouts follow the rules of that variant, and our tests compute the resulting house edge from the rules code. Because credits are virtual, results here say nothing about what you would win or lose with real money.
Privacy
What data do you collect?
Very little: anonymous game events (for example “game started” and “game finished”) with a random session ID that changes on every visit, plus a hashed form of your IP address. No names, emails or accounts. Full details are in our privacy policy and cookie policy.
Do you show ads?
Not at the moment. If we introduce advertising, it will only appear at natural breaks (between hands or levels), optional “watch an ad for credits” offers will always be optional, and we will update our privacy and cookie policies first.
Publishers and partners
Can I put DiceGem games on my website?
Yes, for free and without signing up. Every game page has an “Add this game to your website” box with the code, and WordPress sites can use our plugin. See embedding our games for the options and rules. For the publisher programme, write to [email protected].
I found my work in one of your games without permission.
