Terms of Service

These terms apply to dicegem.com, play.dicegem.com and the DiceGem games wherever they are played (together, “the service”). By using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
1. The service
DiceGem publishes free browser games and written guides about how to play them. The service is provided for entertainment and information.
2. No gambling
DiceGem is not a gambling service. Casino-style games use virtual credits that:
- cannot be purchased,
- have no monetary value,
- cannot be cashed out, transferred, sold or exchanged for money, prizes or anything of value.
No real-money wagering of any kind takes place on the service. Results in our games do not predict, and should not be used to estimate, results at real-money gambling.
3. Eligibility
You may use the service if you are at least 13 and old enough to consent to these terms where you live, or have your parent’s or guardian’s permission. Casino-style games are intended for adults aged 18 or over (or the age of majority where you live, if higher). Please do not play them if you are younger, or if playing them would be against the law where you are.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- interfere with the service or try to access parts of it you are not meant to,
- scrape or download the site at a volume that degrades it for others,
- copy our games or present them as your own,
- redistribute our games or host copies of them; embedding them with our embed code or WordPress plugin is free and welcome, as long as you show them unchanged and do not cover, alter or remove our name, notices or advertising (websites in our publisher programme also follow our publisher terms),
- use the service for anything unlawful.
5. Your saved data
Game progress, settings and virtual credits are stored on your own device. We do not keep a copy and cannot restore them if your browser data is cleared. We may reset virtual balances, for example when a game’s rules change.
6. Intellectual property
The games, code, text, graphics and the DiceGem name belong to DiceGem unless otherwise credited. Third-party assets are used under the licences listed on our credits page. You may link to any page and quote short extracts of our guides with a link back. Anything else needs our written permission at [email protected].
Game names of traditional games (such as Klondike, Backgammon or Baccarat) are used in their generic sense. Any other trademarks mentioned belong to their owners; their mention does not imply endorsement.
7. Third-party sites
Our pages may link to other websites, and our games may appear on other websites that embed them. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, policies or practices.
8. Changes and availability
We may add, change or remove games and features at any time, and the service may be unavailable from time to time. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. We will point out significant changes on this page before they take effect, and continued use after that means you accept them.
9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We work to make games and guides accurate, but we do not guarantee they are error-free. See our disclaimer.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DiceGem is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
10. Termination
We may restrict access to the service for anyone who breaches these terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, or your right to bring proceedings in its courts. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
