How to play

Two floppy wrestlers, one ring and one button each. Put your rival’s head on the mat before your own head touches it and you win the round. The first wrestler to win five rounds takes the match. You can also play first to 3 or first to 7.

  • Blue presses Space (or any of W, A, S, D).
  • Red presses Enter (or any arrow key, or Numpad 0).
  • Gamepads work too: any face button, trigger or stick push counts as the one button.
  • On a phone, hold it sideways. Each player gets one big button on their half of the screen.
  • Playing alone? Choose vs Bot and pick Easy, Normal or Hard.
  • P or Esc pauses.

One button, whole body

Your button tenses the whole wrestler. While it is held, the knees straighten, the arms swing up and forward and the body leans towards your rival. Let go and the wrestler relaxes into a slightly crouched stance.

Press while your feet are on the mat and you spring forward and up with a little forward spin. Keep holding in the air and you keep rotating forward: a short press is a hop, a long one is a flip. Every wrestler wobbles, and only a small effort keeps the body upright, so one good bump can put anyone on their back.

If both heads hit the mat within a fraction of a second of each other, the round is a draw. A round that lasts thirty seconds also ends in a draw.

Wild mats

The first round is always on the classic mat. With Wild mats switched on, every round after that picks a new surface:

  • Bouncy mat: hit it hard and your whole body springs back up.
  • Ice rink: feet slide, so springs carry you further than you expect.
  • Tilted ring: two slopes meet in a dip in the middle; whoever stands higher has gravity on their side.
  • Moon gravity: half gravity, long jumps and slow flips.

Switch Wild mats off on the menu if you want every round on the classic mat.

Strategy

Short taps beat long holds. A long hold spins you onto your own head. Tap, land, tap again.

Let go in the air. If you are spinning too far forward, release the button: the spin stops and your legs have a chance to come round first.

Land on them, not next to them. A wrestler who falls onto the other one’s shoulders usually wins the round.

Learn the mats. On ice, start your spring earlier; on the moon, hold for less time, because you stay in the air twice as long.

Prefer a ball game? The same kind of big heads play football in Bobble Kick and basketball in Bobble Hoops. For bombs and chain reactions on one keyboard, try Fuse Arena.

Frequently asked questions

Is it really just one button?

Yes. Everything comes from when you press and how long you hold.

Can two people play on one phone?

Yes. Turn it sideways and each player gets a big button.

Why did my wrestler fall over by himself?

You held the button too long in the air and flipped onto your head. It happens to everyone.

Can I play alone?

Yes. Choose vs Bot; the Hard bot reacts quickly and lets go before it over-rotates.
