How to play
A moth flutters through a night garden where paper lanterns hang on bamboo fences. Each fence has one gap. Tap to flap: the moth hops upward, then gravity pulls it down again. Fly through every gap for as long as you can. One brush against the bamboo, the ground or the top of the garden ends the flight.
- Touch: tap anywhere on the garden.
- Mouse: click anywhere on the garden.
- Keyboard: Space, ↑, W or Enter. P pauses.
- The moth hovers in place until your first flap, so take your time.
Every gap you pass scores one point. Your best score is kept between visits.
Lantern medals
- Bronze lantern: 10 gaps.
- Silver lantern: 25 gaps.
- Gold lantern: 50 gaps.
The medal shows on the end screen along with your score and best.
How the garden changes
The garden starts gentle and tightens slowly:
- Gaps narrow a little every 10 fences, down to a fixed minimum after 90.
- The scroll speeds up a touch every 5 fences, up to a cap after 55.
- Gap positions are random, but never closer than a safe margin to the ground or the sky.
Strategy
- Flap in small, steady taps. Each flap gives the same upward kick; the trick is tapping a moment before the moth drops below the gap, not after.
- Aim for the lower half of the gap. A flap lifts the moth by about a third of a gap, so there is more room to recover from flying low than from flying high.
- Watch the lanterns, not the moth. The lanterns hang right at the edges of each gap; line up between the two lights.
- Do not flap near the top. Hitting the top of the garden ends the flight just like hitting bamboo.
- Keep a rhythm when the speed rises. The flap strength never changes, so a steady beat carries over; only the horizontal spacing of the fences feels tighter.
