How to play
Card Roulette is roulette without a wheel. Some card rooms aren’t allowed to run a ball and wheel, so they settle roulette bets with a deck of cards instead. This table uses a deck of 37 cards, numbered 0 to 36 and coloured the way the European wheel colours them: eighteen red, eighteen black and a green 0. Before every draw the whole deck is shuffled, then one card is turned over. That card is the winning number.
You start with 1,000 virtual credits.
- Choose a chip: 10, 50, 100 or 500.
- Tap the layout to place it. Single numbers, the small rings on the lines between numbers (splits, streets, corners, six lines) and every outside bet are available, exactly as on a roulette table.
- Undo removes your last chip, Clear empties the layout, Rebet repeats the previous bets.
- Press Spin. A card slides off the shoe face down and flips over. Winning bets are paid and the number joins the row of recent results.
Each spot takes 10 to 1,000 credits in steps of 10, and the table holds up to 5,000 per draw.
Bets and payouts
| Bet | Numbers covered | Pays | Chance per draw |
|---|---|---|---|
| Single number, 0 included | 1 | 35 to 1 | 1 in 37 (2.7%) |
| Split | 2 | 17 to 1 | 2 in 37 (5.4%) |
| Street, or the 0-1-2 / 0-2-3 trio | 3 | 11 to 1 | 3 in 37 (8.1%) |
| Corner, or the 0-1-2-3 top line | 4 | 8 to 1 | 4 in 37 (10.8%) |
| Six line | 6 | 5 to 1 | 6 in 37 (16.2%) |
| Dozen or column | 12 | 2 to 1 | 12 in 37 (32.4%) |
| Red, black, odd, even, 1–18, 19–36 | 18 | 1 to 1 | 18 in 37 (48.6%) |
The 0 card belongs to none of the outside bets: when it’s drawn, every dozen, column, colour, odd/even and high/low bet loses, and only bets that include 0 win.
For example, the card is 17. A chip of 10 on 17 returns 360, 10 on the 17/20 split returns 180, and 20 on red is lost, because 17 is black.
The odds
The drawn card goes back into the deck and the deck is reshuffled, so every draw is a fresh 1-in-37 pick. That makes this table mathematically the same as a European wheel: every bet has a house edge of 1/37, about 2.70%. A straight bet wins once in 37 draws on average and returns 36; the other 36 draws it loses. One unit short in 37.
Strategy
- The deck has no memory. Because every card is returned, a number that just came up is as likely as any other next time. The recent-numbers row is there to look at, not to predict from.
- Choose bets by how you like the swings. Every bet costs the same 2.70% in the long run. Even-money bets keep your balance moving in small steps; single numbers and splits pay rarely but big.
- No racetrack here. Announced bets like Voisins or Tiers are built on neighbouring pockets of a wheel. A deck has no neighbours, so this table doesn’t offer them; the European wheel does.
