Dice Baccarat keeps the shape of a baccarat table, with Player, Tie and Banker, but throws away the cards and the third-card chart. Four dice are rolled. The first two belong to Player, the last two to Banker, and the higher total wins. That is the whole game: no drawing rules to learn, and every result is settled the moment the dice stop. It is the same idea as the live-casino game Bac Bo; the name and the table here are our own.
How to play
Bets. Chips come in 10, 50, 100 and 500. Pick a chip, then tap Player, Tie or Banker to place it. Each spot takes up to 1,000 credits in steps of 10, and up to 5,000 in total. Undo removes the last chip, Clear removes them all, Rebet repeats your last bets, and Roll throws the dice.
The dice. The two dice with the blue glow are Player’s, the two with the red glow are Banker’s. Each side adds up its two dice (from 2 to 12), and the line under the dice tells you the result, for example “Player 7, Banker 9: Banker wins”. The small strip below shows your recent rolls.
Payouts
| Bet | Wins when | Pays | Return |
|---|---|---|---|
| Player | Player’s total is higher | 1 to 1; 90% back on a tie | 98.87% |
| Banker | Banker’s total is higher | 1 to 1; 90% back on a tie | 98.87% |
| Tie | Both totals are equal | by total (see below) | 95.52% |
Tie payouts by total:
| Tied total | Pays |
|---|---|
| 2 or 12 | 88 to 1 |
| 3 or 11 | 25 to 1 |
| 4 or 10 | 10 to 1 |
| 5 or 9 | 6 to 1 |
| 6, 7 or 8 | 4 to 1 |
When the totals tie, Player and Banker bets are not lost outright: you get 90% of the stake back. A 100 bet on Player returns 90 on a tie. Bets go up in steps of 10, so that refund is always a whole number.
The numbers
Each side’s total follows the familiar two-dice curve: 7 is the most likely total (6 ways out of 36), and 2 and 12 the rarest (1 way each). The two sides tie in 146 of the 1,296 equally likely ways the four dice can land, about 11.3% of rolls. Otherwise Player and Banker win equally often, about 44.4% each.
That gives an exact return of 98.87% on Player and on Banker, so each costs you about 1.13 credits per 100 bet over time. Unlike card baccarat, Banker has no edge over Player here: the dice are symmetric, so the two bets are identical apart from the side you cheer for.
The Tie bet returns 95.52% in total, combining all the tie payouts. The double ones and double sixes (both sides rolling 2, or both rolling 12) come up only once in 1,296 rolls each, which is why they pay 88 to 1.
Strategy
Player and Banker are equally good. Pick either; neither is cheaper.
Tie is the costlier bet. It loses about 4.5 credits per 100 over time, four times as much as Player or Banker. The big payouts are rare: a tie on 2 or 12 appears about once in 648 rolls.
Don’t bet both sides at once. Player plus Banker on the same roll breaks even when either side wins and loses 10% of both stakes on a tie (20 credits on 100 + 100). You only pay for the ties.
Past rolls don’t matter. Every roll uses fresh dice. A run of Banker wins in the history strip says nothing about the next one.
