How to play
Loose Deuces is a deuces-wild game built around one number: 500. That’s what four 2s pay per credit, two and a half times the usual 200. Every 2 in the 52-card deck is wild and can stand in for any card.
To play, set a bet of 1 to 5 credits with Bet one and press Deal, or hit Bet max to deal at 5 credits right away. Mark the cards you keep by tapping them (Held) and press Draw. Discards are replaced from the remaining cards, and the next hand starts from a full reshuffle.
The Hint button, behind an optional ad, picks the hold with the best expected return by checking all 32 holds against every possible draw. You have 1,000 virtual credits to start and can claim 1,000 more whenever the balance runs out.
Pay table
| Hand | Per credit | At 5 credits |
|---|---|---|
| Natural Royal Flush | 250 | 4,000 |
| Four Deuces | 500 | 2,500 |
| Wild Royal Flush | 25 | 125 |
| Five of a Kind | 15 | 75 |
| Straight Flush | 8 | 40 |
| Four of a Kind | 4 | 20 |
| Full House | 3 | 15 |
| Flush | 2 | 10 |
| Straight | 2 | 10 |
| Three of a Kind | 1 | 5 |
Below 5 credits, four deuces actually pay more than a natural royal: 500 per credit against 250. At max bet the royal climbs to 4,000 and takes the top spot back.
To fund the bigger deuce pay, the straight flush drops from 9 to 8 and four of a kind from 5 to 4, compared with full-pay Deuces Wild. The rest of the table is the same.
The numbers
Perfect play at 5 credits returns 100.15%, exactly counted over all deals and holds. Four deuces show up about once every 4,700 hands, a little more often than in Deuces Wild because you’ll chase them harder. About 45% of hands pay something, and three of a kind for 1 makes up a big share of those small wins.
Four of a kind paying only 4 is the quiet cost. Quads are the most common big hand in a deuces game, and losing a credit on each one is how the 500 is paid for.
Strategy
The 500-credit line changes how much a deuce is worth, and that shows up in a few holds that differ from Deuces Wild. From the game’s exact hold values:
Three deuces and a dealt wild royal (2♣ 2♦ 2♥ K♦ Q♦). Break the wild royal. Keep only the three deuces and draw two. The deuces alone are worth about 26.9 per credit; the wild royal is a flat 25. In full-pay Deuces Wild you’d keep the 25, because there four deuces only pay 200.
Three deuces and junk. Hold the deuces and draw two. Never keep a fourth card for a straight or flush.
Two deuces with a made straight flush (2♣ 2♦ 9♥ J♥ Q♥). Stand on the straight flush. It pays 8 here, and the two deuces alone are worth well under that.
No deuces, two pair. Keep only one pair. Two pair pays nothing, and a single pair has slightly more value (about 0.52 against 0.51).
No deuces, a pair of Aces. Keep the pair and draw three. Kickers never help.
The thread running through all of it: deuces are more valuable here than anywhere else in the family, so holds that keep the most deuces and give you the most draws at a fourth one tend to win. If Bonus Deuces is the deuces game for five-of-a-kind hunters, this is the one for deuce hunters.
