How to play
On every standard roulette wheel the green zero is what pays the house: it’s the pocket no outside bet covers. This wheel simply doesn’t have one. It holds the 36 numbers only, 1 to 36, eighteen red and eighteen black, in the same order as a European wheel with the zero taken out. The price for that is one smaller payout: a single number pays 34 to 1 instead of 35.
You start with 1,000 virtual credits.
- Choose a chip: 10, 50, 100 or 500.
- Tap the layout to place it. Single numbers, the small rings on the lines between numbers (splits, streets, corners, six lines) and all the outside bets are there.
- Undo removes your last chip, Clear empties the layout, Rebet repeats the previous bets.
- Press Spin. The ball lands, winners are paid, and the number joins the row of recent results.
Each spot takes 10 to 1,000 credits in steps of 10, and the table holds up to 5,000 per spin. Bets that include zero (0 itself, the 0-1-2 trio, the top line) and the racetrack’s zero-based announced bets don’t exist here.
Bets and payouts
| Bet | Numbers covered | Pays | Chance per spin |
|---|---|---|---|
| Single number | 1 | 34 to 1 | 1 in 36 (2.78%) |
| Split | 2 | 17 to 1 | 2 in 36 (5.56%) |
| Street | 3 | 11 to 1 | 3 in 36 (8.33%) |
| Corner | 4 | 8 to 1 | 4 in 36 (11.1%) |
| Six line | 6 | 5 to 1 | 6 in 36 (16.7%) |
| Dozen or column | 12 | 2 to 1 | 12 in 36 (33.3%) |
| Red, black, odd, even, 1–18, 19–36 | 18 | 1 to 1 | 18 in 36 (50%) |
Example: the ball lands on 17. A chip of 10 on 17 returns 350 (34 to 1 plus your stake), 20 on black returns 40, and 10 on the 17/20 split returns 180.
The odds
With no zero, the standard payouts are exactly fair for 36 pockets. Red wins 18 times in 36 and pays even money; a dozen wins 12 times in 36 and pays 2 to 1. Over many spins those bets give back what goes in: a house edge of 0.
The only bet that carries an edge is the single number. It wins once in 36 spins and returns 35 units (34 plus the stake) for 36 staked, so its edge is 1/36, about 2.78%. That’s slightly more than the 2.70% a single number costs on a European wheel.
Why not shave every payout a little instead? Because roulette pays whole numbers. A fair split on 36 pockets pays 17 to 1; giving it the same edge as the single number would mean paying 16.5 to 1, and a street 10.67 to 1. So this table takes its cut on the straight bet alone.
Strategy
- Outside and split bets are break-even in the long run. On this wheel nothing about red, a dozen or a corner works against you on average. Your balance still swings; it just doesn’t drift down.
- Single numbers cost a little. If you enjoy the 34-to-1 hit, play it; just know it’s the one bet that slowly costs credits.
- Cover a number with a split instead. A split on 17/20 wins twice as often as 17 alone and is fair; half of it is effectively a straight bet on 17 at full odds.
- There’s no system. Break-even doesn’t mean a winning method exists: progressions still run into the 1,000-per-spot limit.
