How to play
Reel Bingo mixes a bingo card with a slot machine. You get a 5 × 5 card in the classic B-I-N-G-O layout (B holds 1 to 15, I 16 to 30, N 31 to 45, G 46 to 60, O 61 to 75), with a free space in the middle. Under the card sit five reels, one for each column.
- Choose your bet: 10, 50, 100 or 500 credits, and press Play. You get a fresh card and ten spins.
- Spin. Each reel stops on a number from its own column, or on a joker ★. If the number is on your card, it’s marked automatically.
- Place your jokers. A joker lets you mark any number you like in that reel’s column. The cells you can pick glow; tap one. Best spot places the joker for you on the cell that helps your lines the most.
- Count your lines after the tenth spin. Every completed row, column and diagonal counts, so up to 12 lines.
Pay table
Pays are multiples of your bet and include your bet back:
| Lines | Pays |
|---|---|
| 1 | 0.2× |
| 2 | 1× |
| 3 | 2.8× |
| 4 | 5× |
| 5 | 10× |
| 6 | 20× |
| 7 | 40× |
| 8 | 80× |
| 9 | 150× |
| 10 | 300× |
| 11 | 500× |
| 12 (full card) | 1,000× |
The strip under the reels shows these pays in credits for your bet, and lights up your current line count as the game goes.
The odds
Each reel has 16 equally likely stops: the 15 numbers of its column and one joker. So on every spin, each reel has a 1 in 16 chance of a joker, and a 5 in 16 chance of a number that’s on your card while it’s still unmarked (4 in 16 on the N reel, because the middle of that column is the free space).
How much the game pays back depends on where you put your jokers. We played 400,000 games placing every joker with Best spot, and the game returned about 94% of the bets. In those games, 28% ended with no line, 36% with one line and 22% with two. Three lines or more came up about one game in seven.
Tips
- Finish lines first. A joker that completes a line of four is worth far more than one that starts a new line. Best spot follows that rule.
- The free space counts. The middle row, the middle column and both diagonals need only four numbers each, so they’re the easiest lines.
- Crossing points are strong. A cell where a row, a column and a diagonal meet helps three lines at once.
