How to play
A small chick stands at the kerb of a wide road. Each lane it gets across adds to your multiplier; a car in the wrong lane ends the round. There’s no picking and no aiming. Your only decision, over and over, is whether to take one more step.
- Pick the traffic. The Difficulty buttons offer Easy, Medium, Hard and Extreme. They set both how dangerous each lane is and how wide the road is.
- Stake your bet by tapping chips (100, 500, 1,000 or 5,000) onto the bet spot. Bets run from 100 to 10,000 credits in steps of 100.
- Press Start, then Cross to send the chick into the first lane. Space or Enter does the same from the keyboard.
- A clear lane drops a barrier behind the chick and raises the multiplier. A car ends the round and takes the bet.
- After the first lane, Cash out shows the exact amount you’d collect. Reach the far pavement and the game pays you without asking.
Traffic for every lane is settled the moment you press Start. When the round ends, the road shows which lanes would have had cars.
Traffic levels
The road is split into 25 time slots per lane, and the level decides how many of them carry a car.
| Difficulty | Car chance per lane | Lanes | After 1 lane | After 5 lanes | Full crossing | Chance to cross it all |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Easy | 1 in 25 (4%) | 24 | ×1.01 | ×1.18 | ×2.58 | about 37.5% |
| Medium | 3 in 25 (12%) | 22 | ×1.10 | ×1.83 | ×16.14 | about 6% |
| Hard | 5 in 25 (20%) | 20 | ×1.21 | ×2.96 | ×84.13 | about 1.2% |
| Extreme | 10 in 25 (40%) | 15 | ×1.61 | ×12.47 | ×2,063.01 | about 1 in 2,100 |
Easy is a long, gentle walk: more than a third of chicks make it all the way, but the reward for doing so is only ×2.58. Extreme is the opposite. The road is shorter, yet even five lanes in a row happens less than 8% of the time.
The maths behind the multiplier
Every lane is an independent roll with the same odds; nothing about earlier lanes changes the next one. On Medium, a lane is clear 22 times in 25, so the fair price of one more lane is 25/22. The game multiplies those fair prices together and takes 97% of the result, rounded down to two decimals on screen and to whole credits on payout.
That one rule has a neat consequence. Stop after the first lane, stop halfway, or go for the far side: the average return is the same 97% of your bet, give or take rounding. The house edge is a flat 3% that you can’t steer around.
The Next box above the road shows the multiplier for the following lane and the percentage chance that lane is clear. That percentage never moves within a level. On Hard it says 80% safe for the first lane and still says 80% for the twentieth.
Strategy
Since no stopping point beats another on average, a plan here is about what kind of session you want, not about beating the odds.
- Easy for long sessions. Cashing out after five lanes succeeds about 82% of the time for ×1.18.
- Hard or Extreme for short bursts. One lane on Extreme pays ×1.61 with a 60% chance; you’re making a single bold bet.
- Decide your exit before you press Start. “Five lanes on Medium” is about a coin flip (53%) for ×1.83. Writing that rule down makes it easier to keep.
- Mind the small multipliers on Easy. At ×1.01 for the first lane, a 100-credit bet makes a single credit. Rounding takes a bigger slice of small wins, so tiny cash-outs on Easy return a little under 97%.
- There is no hot or cold road. A run of quiet lanes doesn’t make the next one safer, and a crash doesn’t make the next round kinder.
