How to play

A normal European wheel, 0 to 36 with a single zero, where every usual bet pays exactly what it pays there. Below the wheel sit four spread bets. Each covers 18 numbers, like red or 1–18, but it doesn’t pay a fixed amount: what comes back depends on where in the range the ball lands.

You start with 1,000 virtual credits.

  1. Choose a chip: 10, 50, 100 or 500.
  2. Tap a spread spot, or any part of the layout: numbers, the rings between numbers, outside bets or the racetrack buttons. Hovering over a spread spot lights up the numbers it covers.
  3. Press Spin.

Every spot takes 10 to 1,000 credits in steps of 10, and the table holds up to 5,000 per spin.

The four spreads

The return is a multiple of your stake, stake included. Zero loses all four.

Low 1–18 pays more the lower the number: 3.7 times on 1, then 0.2 less for each step up, down to 0.3 times on 18. It loses on 19 to 36.

High 19–36 is the mirror: 0.3 times on 19, rising by 0.2 each step to 3.7 times on 36. It loses on 1 to 18.

Middle 10–27 pays most at the centre: 3.2 times on 18 or 19, falling by 0.3 each step outward to 0.8 times on 10 or 27. It loses on 1 to 9 and 28 to 36.

Ends 1–9, 28–36 is the opposite: 3.2 times on 1 or 36, falling by 0.3 each step inward to 0.8 times on 9 or 28. It loses on 10 to 27.

Some wins return less than you staked. 100 on Low comes back as 50 if the ball lands on 17: you’re on the right side, but near the edge. The message then reads “You got 50 back”.

The odds

Each spread’s 18 returns add up to exactly 36 stakes, the same as a red bet that pays 2 on each of its 18 numbers. So every spread has the single-zero house edge of 1/37, about 2.70%, the same as every bet on the layout. We checked it over all 37 pockets.

The difference is the swing. A red bet always returns 0 or 2 times the stake. A spread can return anything from 0.3 to 3.7 times, so a lucky landing pays much more and an unlucky one gives back only part.

Strategy

  • Spreads are not a better red. Same 18 numbers, same edge; they just move the money toward the far end of the range.
  • Low and High are the wild ones. Up to ×3.7 at the extremes, but the four winning numbers nearest the edge (15 to 18 for Low, 19 to 22 for High) return less than the stake.
  • Middle and Ends are calmer. Their range is ×0.8 to ×3.2, and only the two outer steps return less than the stake.
  • Opposite spreads cancel out. Low plus High, or Middle plus Ends, covers all 36 numbers, but you still pay the 2.70% edge on both.

Frequently asked questions

Can I lose more than my stake?

No. A spread bet returns between 0 and 3.7 times what you put on it.

Why does a win sometimes show as "got back"?

Near the edge of its range a spread returns less than the stake, for example 0.3 times on 18 for Low. The message says how much came back.

Is this the casino game with a second spread wheel?

No. Some live tables add a separate wheel and a range side bet. This page's spreads are our own design, settled on the main wheel alone.

What happens if I run out of credits?

A button gives you 1,000 free credits. Credits are virtual: they can't be bought, cashed out or exchanged for prizes.
