How to play
Four Jackpots has five reels, three rows and 20 lines, with four prize plaques above the reels: Mini, Minor, Major and Grand. The plaques show real credit amounts, and they change when you change the coin, because each one is a fixed multiple of your total bet.
Choose a coin (1, 2, 5, 10 or 20); the stake is that coin times 20. Press Spin. Wins along the lines are paid from the leftmost reel, best combination per line, when the reels stop. You begin with 1,000 credits.
The red Jackpot coin can land on any of the five reels. If coins appear on three or more different reels in the same spin, the reels make way for a board of nine face-down coins. Tap coins one at a time. As soon as three of them show the same jackpot name, that jackpot is paid and you’re back on the reels.
There are no free spins or respins in this game. The coin game is the only feature, and it always ends with a jackpot.
The jackpot game
Here is how the board is built. When it opens, one jackpot is drawn by weight. That jackpot is placed on three of the nine coins; each of the other three jackpots goes on two. With only two copies, a losing jackpot can never complete a set, so the first name to reach three is always the one that was drawn.
| Jackpot | Pays | Share of jackpot games |
|---|---|---|
| Mini | 10× total bet | 70% |
| Minor | 25× total bet | 23% |
| Major | 100× total bet | 6% |
| Grand | 1,000× total bet | 1% |
Average value of one jackpot game: 7 + 5.75 + 6 + 10 = 28.75 times the total bet. Notice that the rare Grand contributes more to that average than the common Mini.
Pay table
Line pays, in coins (the line bet). A, K, Q, J and 10 are the low symbols.
| Symbol | 3 | 4 | 5 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dragon wild | 72 | 359 | 1436 |
| Golden sun | 43 | 172 | 718 |
| Red flame | 36 | 144 | 431 |
| Jade gem | 28 | 108 | 287 |
| Lucky bell | 22 | 72 | 215 |
| A | 14 | 43 | 144 |
| K | 9 | 36 | 115 |
| Q | 8 | 28 | 86 |
| J | 6 | 22 | 72 |
| 10 | 6 | 18 | 58 |
The Dragon wild fills in for the regular symbols and has its own top line pay. It does not count as a jackpot coin.
The odds
Each reel is a 35-stop strip with a single jackpot coin, so a given reel shows it 3 times in 35. Getting it on at least three of five reels works out to once every 181.3 spins.
Line wins return 79.30% of stakes. The jackpot game adds 28.75 ÷ 181.3 = 15.86%, for an exact total of 95.16%. The Grand, at 1 jackpot game in 100, comes up about once in 18,000 spins. Because a sixth of the return sits in a feature that rare, results over an evening swing a lot.
Strategy
The order in which you open coins makes no difference. The winning jackpot is fixed before you see the board; picking just uncovers it. You might open all nine, or finish in three taps, and the prize is the same.
The coin size is the real decision. A Grand at the 20 coin is 400,000 credits, but each spin costs 400, and a 1,000-credit start lasts only a couple of spins at that level. At the smallest coin you get about fifty spins from the same balance, which is closer to the 181-spin wait for an average jackpot game. No coin size changes the 95.16% return.
If you like pick features, Treasure Picks works the other way round: there the choices hide several prizes and three Collect chests, and you keep adding until a Collect turns up. For a wheel instead of a board, see Fortune Wheel Slot.
