How to play
Safe Cracker is a push-your-luck game dressed up as a heist. The safe has a row of dials. On each dial, some numbers are clear and some are wired to the alarm. Pick a clear one and the dial turns, your multiplier climbs, and you face the next dial. Pick an alarm and the round is over.
The alarm numbers are hidden and fixed when the round starts, separately for each dial.
- Choose a difficulty: Easy, Medium, Hard or Expert.
- Place your bet with the chips, from 100 to 10,000 credits in steps of 100.
- Tap Start cracking. The first dial lights up.
- Pick a number on the active dial.
- Clear: the dial clicks open, the multiplier rises and the next dial lights up.
- Alarm: the round ends and the bet is lost.
- Between dials, Cash out takes your bet times the current multiplier. The button shows the amount. Or pick on the next dial and keep going.
- Open every dial and the safe swings open: the full multiplier is paid automatically.
Before each pick, the panel shows what the Next dial would make your multiplier and the percentage chance it’s safe.
The four safes
| Level | Dials | Numbers per dial | Alarms per dial | Chance per dial |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Easy | 6 | 4 | 1 | 75% |
| Medium | 6 | 3 | 1 | 66.7% |
| Hard | 6 | 2 | 1 | 50% |
| Expert | 5 | 5 | 3 | 40% |
Multipliers dial by dial
| Dials opened | Easy | Medium | Hard | Expert |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | ×1.28 | ×1.44 | ×1.92 | ×2.40 |
| 2 | ×1.71 | ×2.16 | ×3.84 | ×6.00 |
| 3 | ×2.28 | ×3.24 | ×7.68 | ×15.00 |
| 4 | ×3.03 | ×4.86 | ×15.36 | ×37.50 |
| 5 | ×4.05 | ×7.29 | ×30.72 | ×93.75 |
| 6 | ×5.39 | ×10.93 | ×61.44 | – |
And the chance of opening the whole safe in one go: about 17.8% on Easy, 8.8% on Medium, 1.6% on Hard and 1.0% on Expert.
Why every step returns 96%
Each dial’s multiplier is set from its true odds. An Easy dial is clear 3 times in 4, so passing it multiplies your stake by 4 ÷ 3. Hard dials are clear half the time and double it. Expert dials are clear 2 times in 5 and multiply by 5 ÷ 2. The product of all those fair factors is then scaled by 0.96.
The effect is that stopping after one dial, three dials or the whole safe all have the same expected value: 96% of your bet. Payouts are rounded down to whole credits, which is why the minimum bet is 100; at that size the rounding costs well under 1%.
Strategy
There’s no “right” number to pick. Alarm positions are random on every dial and independent of each other. A number that was clear on dial 2 is no safer on dial 3.
When to cash out doesn’t change the long-run cost. This surprises people. Walking away after one Easy dial at ×1.28 and chasing the full ×5.39 both cost 4% of your stakes on average. What changes is the spread: early cash-outs win often and small, full runs win rarely and big.
Pick the level for the ride you want. Easy feels steady, with three-quarter odds on each dial. Hard is a coin flip per dial, and six in a row pays ×61.44. Expert is the long shot: five dials at 40% each, for a ×93.75 top prize.
Set a stopping rule before you start. For example, “cash out at ×3 or better”. Deciding in advance keeps you from talking yourself into one more dial after a lucky run, or bailing too early out of nerves.
Bet small on the hard safes. On Hard or Expert, most rounds end at the first or second dial. Size bets so a run of alarms doesn’t empty your credits.
