How to play
Multiplier Rocket asks one question before every flight: how high do you think it will go? You lock in a target multiplier, place a bet and launch. The rocket climbs while a multiplier counts up, then stops at a random value. Reach your target and you win your bet times the target. Fall short and the bet is gone.
There’s no button to bail out mid-flight. Unlike a crash game such as Sky Crash, where you cash out by hand while the line rises, here the decision is made entirely before launch. That makes each round a single, clear bet: target, stake, go.
- Choose a target with the Lower target and Higher target buttons. There are 21 steps: 1.1×, 1.2×, 1.3×, 1.5×, 1.8×, 2×, 2.5×, 3×, 4×, 5×, 6×, 8×, 10×, 15×, 20×, 30×, 50×, 100×, 200×, 500× and 1,000×. The Win chance and Pays readouts update as you go.
- Place a bet by picking a chip and tapping the Bet spot: 10 to 1,000 credits, in steps of 10.
- Press Launch.
- The multiplier stops somewhere from 1.00× upward. If it’s at or above your target, you’re paid bet × target. If not, you lose the stake.
On the sky, faint lines mark 1×, 10×, 100× and 1,000×, and a gold line shows your target so you can see how close the rocket came. A row of recent results runs along the top, colour-coded by size.
How the result is drawn
Each launch draws a uniform random number U between 0 and 1, and the rocket’s final multiplier is 0.99 ÷ U. A few consequences:
- The chance of reaching any target T is exactly 0.99 ÷ T.
- About 1 launch in 100 stops right at 1.00×, below every target.
- Very large results are possible. A result of 1,000× or more happens about once in 1,010 launches, and the display goes all the way up to 1,000,000×.
The odds for every target
| Target | Win chance | A 100 bet returns |
|---|---|---|
| 1.1× | 90.0% | 110 |
| 1.5× | 66.0% | 150 |
| 2× | 49.5% | 200 |
| 3× | 33.0% | 300 |
| 5× | 19.8% | 500 |
| 10× | 9.9% | 1,000 |
| 50× | 1.98% | 5,000 |
| 100× | 0.99% | 10,000 |
| 1,000× | 0.099% | 100,000 |
Multiply the chance by the target and the answer is always 0.99. Every target returns 99% of what you bet over time, a house edge of 1%. A single-zero roulette wheel, by comparison, keeps 2.70%.
Strategy
The target sets your risk, not your cost. A 1.1× target wins nine launches in ten for a 10% profit each time; a 100× target wins one in a hundred for a hundredfold payout. Both cost 1% of your stakes in the long run.
Expect losing runs at high targets. At 10×, you’ll lose about nine launches out of ten, and strings of 20 or 30 misses are perfectly normal. At 100×, a few hundred launches without a hit can happen. Keep bets small relative to your credits if you aim high.
Low targets are not safe money either. At 1.1×, one loss wipes out the profit of ten wins. Steady small gains are not free money.
History doesn’t predict anything. Every launch is independent. A run of 1.00× results doesn’t make a big one “due”, and a 500× result doesn’t make the next one smaller.
Don’t escalate after losses. Doubling the bet after each miss collides with the 1,000-credit limit quickly, and the 1% edge applies to every credit along the way.
If you’d rather set odds with a number line than a rocket, Dice 100 works on the same 99% principle.
