How to play
White Hot Aces is a bonus poker game that pays well for two kinds of quads: Aces, and the low cards 2, 3 and 4. Everything in the middle gets a modest 50.
Each hand you bet 1 to 5 credits: Bet one steps it up, Deal deals, and Bet max jumps to 5 credits and deals in one press. Pick your keepers by tapping them (Held appears on each), then press Draw. The deck is a standard 52 cards and every hand starts from a full shuffle.
Hint shows the best hold after an optional ad, using an exact search over every hold and every draw. The game gives you 1,000 virtual credits and another 1,000 free whenever you run out.
Pay table
| Hand | Per credit |
|---|---|
| Royal Flush | 250 (4,000 at 5 credits) |
| Straight Flush | 80 |
| Four Aces | 240 |
| Four 2s, 3s or 4s | 120 |
| Four 5s through Kings | 50 |
| Full House | 8 |
| Flush | 5 |
| Straight | 4 |
| Three of a Kind | 3 |
| Two Pair | 1 |
| Jacks or Better | 1 |
Four Aces at 240 sit between Double Bonus (160) and Super Aces (400). The low quads pay 120 without needing any kicker, half again what Double Bonus pays for them, and that line is what you’ll notice in play.
The numbers
Perfect play at 5 credits returns 98.50%, the result of an exact count over all deals and holds. It’s lower than most bonus games because the full house is 8, the flush 5 and two pair only 1, while the bonus lines soak up the rest.
Under best play:
- Four 2s, 3s or 4s: about once every 1,850 hands, worth 600 at max bet.
- Four Aces: about once every 4,250 hands, worth 1,200 at max bet.
- Royal flush: about once every 39,000 hands.
- Some pay on roughly 44.7% of hands.
The low quads come more than twice as often as four Aces, so in a typical session they do more for your balance.
Strategy
The big theme: low trips are worth more than the full house they’re part of. That’s rare in bonus poker, and it comes from the 120-credit low quads. Checked with the game’s exact hold values:
A full house of 3s (3♣ 3♦ 3♥ 9♠ 9♣). Break it. Holding just the three 3s is worth about 8.29 per credit, a touch more than the guaranteed 8 for the full house. Same with 2s or 4s. It’s thin, but it’s correct, and it’s the hand that defines this game.
A full house of Aces. Break it as well; the three Aces are worth about 13.4.
A full house of 5s through Kings. Keep it. Those quads pay only 50.
Aces up (A♣ A♦ 8♣ 8♠ 5♥). Keep the Aces, drop the 8s: about 1.96 against 1.60.
Two pair without Aces (K♣ K♦ 8♣ 8♠ 5♥). Keep both pairs: about 1.60 against 1.44 for the Kings.
Straight flush draws. With the straight flush at 80, four-card straight flush draws are strong holds, and three-card ones gain value too.
Three of a kind. Hold the three and draw two. There’s no kicker bonus in this game.
