Banker Seven Baccarat is a commission-free table with a single twist on the main game. Banker pays 1 to 1, but if Banker wins with a three-card 7, Banker bets push. That one rare hand replaces the 5% commission. Two side bets come with the table: Fortune 7 pays big on that same 7, and One Up pays when Player wins by exactly one point. Card rooms in Washington State and California deal this game as Fortune 7 Baccarat.

How to play

Bets. Chips come in 10, 50, 100 and 500. Every spot takes up to 1,000 credits, in steps of 10.

If the hands tie, Player and Banker bets come back. A Banker 7 on two cards is an ordinary win and pays 1 to 1.

The cards. Aces count 1, 2 to 9 count their pips, and tens and picture cards count 0. Only the last digit of a total matters. Two cards each go to Player and Banker. A total of 8 or 9 is a natural and nobody draws. Otherwise Player draws on 0 to 5, and Banker draws by the standard third-card table. The higher total wins.

Strategy

Banker is the best bet on the table. Banker wins with a three-card 7 in about 2.3% of rounds, and pushing then costs Banker bettors a little less than a 5% commission would. At 1.02%, Banker here is even slightly cheaper than at a classic commission table (1.06%).

Fortune 7 is the better of the two side bets. It wins about once in 44 rounds and pays 40 to 1.

One Up wins far more often. A one-point Player win happens about once in twelve rounds (8% of them). Most of those pay 9 to 1, and the rare 1-0 pays 30. Its edge is a bit higher than Fortune 7’s, but the results swing much less.

Same game, different side bets: Seven Push Baccarat has the identical main game with a Player three-card 8 bet instead of One Up.

Frequently asked questions

Why does Banker push on a three-card 7 instead of paying commission?

Banker wins a little more often than Player. Classic tables take 5% of every Banker win to even that out. Commission-free tables take one specific win away instead. It's simpler to pay and keeps the game fast, and the three-card 7 is rare enough to cost about the same.

Does a 9-8 natural count for One Up?

Yes. Any Player win by exactly one point counts, naturals included. Only 1 over 0 pays the top 30 to 1.

Do I need a Player or Banker bet to play the side bets?

Not here. Some casinos require one. This table lets you play Fortune 7 or One Up on their own.

Are the credits real money?

No. They are virtual and cannot be bought or cashed out. When your balance runs out, you can collect 1,000 free credits and keep playing.
