Coral Reef Slots takes a standard five-reel layout and tilts the prize money toward the top. Short wins on starfish, shells and bubbles pay a little less than usual; long lines of fish and pearls pay a lot more, and the treasure chest bonus hands out bigger bundles of free spins. The result is a higher return than its siblings, paid out in a lumpier way.
How to play
The game opens with 1,000 virtual credits and a 5×3 window of sea creatures.
Set your stake with Bet per line (1, 2, 5, 10 or 20). All 20 paylines play on every spin, so the real cost is twenty times that figure; the panel under the reels spells it out. Then press Spin.
When the reels settle, every line is read from the left edge. Three, four or five of the same symbol in a row from reel one pays the table prize multiplied by your line bet. A line can’t pay twice: if it holds both a clownfish run and a shorter pearl run, you get the larger one. Different lines stack, so a single spin can pay on several lines at once. Tap Pay table for the prizes worked out at your current stake.
Pay table
Line prizes, as multiples of the line bet:
| Symbol | 3 | 4 | 5 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wild pearl | 40 | 200 | 1,500 |
| Golden fish | 30 | 150 | 750 |
| Clownfish | 25 | 100 | 400 |
| Blue tang | 20 | 60 | 250 |
| Sea turtle | 12 | 40 | 150 |
| Starfish | 8 | 25 | 80 |
| Seashell | 5 | 20 | 60 |
| Anchor | 4 | 12 | 50 |
| Coral | 3 | 10 | 40 |
| Bubbles | 3 | 8 | 30 |
The wild pearl substitutes for every fish and sea symbol, never for the chest. Three pearls alone pay only 40, less than the 50 they’d pay on Fruit Slots, but five pay 1,500 instead of 1,000. The same pattern runs down the table: five golden fish pay 750 (500 on the fruit machine), while three bubbles pay 3 (4 there).
The treasure chest is the scatter. It pays wherever it appears, as a multiple of your total bet, and opens a free-spin round:
| Chests in view | Pay (× total bet) | Free spins |
|---|---|---|
| 3 | 2 | 12 |
| 4 | 10 | 18 |
| 5 | 50 | 25 |
Free spins are played at the bet that won them. Chests that land during the round add more spins on top.
How the reef pays out
The reels are 36 stops each with two pearls and two chests, the same symbol counts as Fruit Slots. Only the prize amounts and the free-spin counts differ, and that’s enough to move the numbers:
- Return: 96.87% over the long run, free spins included. Among the plain wild-and-scatter line slots here, that’s the top figure, just ahead of Scarab Tomb at 96.79%.
- Chests trigger free spins about once in 28 spins. Counting retriggers, a round lasts close to 23 spins on average, against about 17 on a 10/15/20 machine.
- Free spins carry nearly 45% of the total return. Paid spins on their own give back only about 54% of what you stake.
- About one spin in three pays something, the same rate as Fruit Slots, but fewer of those wins cover the stake: around 15% of spins return at least the bet, against about 18% there (simulated over two million spins).
Strategy
Nothing you do changes the reels. Each spin picks five independent stops, and the game has no memory of what came before, so there’s no pattern to wait for and no hot streak to chase.
What the numbers do tell you is how to size your bet. Because almost half the payback sits inside the free-spin rounds, a session that misses the chests for 60 or 80 spins will look far worse than the 96.87% suggests. Plan for that. A line bet of 1 or 2 (20 to 40 credits per spin) gives a 1,000-credit stack enough runway to see several bonus rounds. At 20 per line you’re paying 400 a spin, and the bonus may never arrive before the credits run out.
Also, the higher return doesn’t mean faster wins. If you prefer frequent small payouts, the flatter pay table on Fruit Slots feels steadier. For even longer odds at the top, Lantern Dragon pays 2,700× for five wilds.
